For Marisa and Ajay, a fall wedding at The Barns at Wesleyan Hills was a convergence of cultures. It was all curated through a festive celebration of unforgettable memories that unfolded throughout the day.

However, there was one element to their wedding that was truly unexpected. Which were the pockets of rain that sprang up throughout the day. Fall weather in New England is notorious for its unpredictability. One week could bring rain while another might bring an unexpected snowfall. But Marisa and Ajay openly embraced each moment, handling it all with ease, and bright, vivacious smiles and laughter.

Their wedding day began on the grounds of The Barns at Wesleyan Hills, with a first look and private exchange of vows on the venue’s footbridge. Nestled under the trees, this space offered a quiet reprieve where Marisa & Ajay could begin their wedding day through an intimate, shared moment filled with private promises.

Marisa and Ajay’s hearts were light, and when the skies opened up, they deployed the assistance of a clear umbrella. Thus allowing them to stay exactly where they were, embraced in an exchange of loving affirmations. Which was all done away from their guests and the members of their wedding party.

The joy of being in each other’s presence remained an unwavering pillar throughout their wedding day. To be around Marisa & Ajay on that day was to see that every glance, exchange, and lively celebration was deeply cherished.

The Barns at Wesleyan Hills

Before long, it was time to move from their portrait experience on the lawn to their ceremony inside the venue. Aglow with the wash of brilliant chandeliers, Marisa made her way down the aisle to Ajay. Here, with full hearts, among a sea of guests, they were joined in marriage. 

The space was accented by crisp white florals and personalized decor touches that honored the generations that came before them.

All of the guests in attendance were treated to a delectable cocktail hour as a quick room change took their wedding from ceremony to celebration.

Upon being announced to a room filled to the brim with their family and friends, Marisa and Ajay quickly took to the dance floor. Their first dance as a married couple expressed a beautiful range of emotions. I was present to capture every wildly vibrant moment. 

The evening’s celebration brought forth a Dandiya stick dance to start the party. Later, flambe desserts were cooked up tableside, courtesy of the Chef on hand.

As their day unfolded, the rain came and went. But we managed to find time in the evening for an additional outdoor portrait session. One with captivating images befitting of Marisa and Ajay’s love story.

This beautiful couple was so relaxed on their wedding day, openly expressing their happiness as each moment came their way. My goal was to commemorate these pockets of joy for Marisa and Ajay to look back on for a lifetime.
