Inn at Mystic Wedding – Dreamy & Ethereal Fall Celebration

Samantha and Brenden’s Inn at Mystic wedding was a dreamy fall celebration with an unexpected rainfall. The turn of events in the weather did not deter this wedding from unfolding beautifully. In fact, with the unforeseen change in circumstances, the venue sprang into action, quickly adapting to ‘plan B’. All in all, providing Samantha and Brenden with an exquisite wedding day, befitting of their love story.

At the start of the day, Samantha dressed at the Haley Mansion. She spent the morning with her mother, sister, and closest friends, fastening the buttons on her gown, and adding the final touches to her wedding day look. The ornate sconces within the Haley Mansion provided an ethereal backdrop for Samantha’s getting-ready moments. Overall, adding an otherworldly glow to the bride’s chic and classic look. As Samanta prepared at the Haley Mansion, Brenden got ready at the Inn at Mystic. He secured his cufflinks in anticipation of meeting his bride for a first look.

The couple’s first look was a moment of solace for Samantha and Brenden. Wedding day nerves were washed away as they embraced one another, soaking up the joy that would entrench them for the remainder of the day. During the first look, we spotted the clouds as they began to roll in over the grounds. However, the moment belonged to Samantha and Brenden alone. The weather was merely a trivial detail, easily overlooked and forgotten as Samantha and Brenden welcomed the start of their wedding day.

When it came to the couple’s wedding ceremony, the Inn at Mystic created a dedicated space for Samantha and Brenden to host their vows. Their ceremony was a celebration of their faith and the spiritual coming together of two souls. It was also an easygoing ceremony laced with laughter and sealed with a kiss. After they were announced as married, Samantha and Brenden stepped inside for a private toast. With their parents and closest loved ones by their sides, everyone in attendance raised a glass of champagne in honor of the newlyweds.

The atmosphere was fun and vibrant, with jovial overtones. After the ceremony and toast, I worked with Samantha and Brenden on their wedding photography experience at the Inn at Mystic. They were so wonderful in wanting to brave the rain for unforgettable photos overlooking the Long Island Sound. With a clear umbrella in tow, and Brenden tasked with assisting Samantha with the train of her gown, we explored the grounds. My goal as their wedding photographer was to allow the environment to enhance their photos. The overall result embodied the distinctive landscape of the area while focusing on the feeling that washed over Samantha and Brenden.
