Emma and Dave’s Lakeville CT wedding venue, the Interlaken Inn hosted their winter wonderland wedding. It was a special day of gathering in love with those they cherish the most. Furthermore, it was filled with holiday trees from a local farm, scores of twinkling lights, and a celebratory mood.

Interlaken Inn, a Lakeville CT wedding venue is stretched across over 30 acres of lush grounds. It is nestled between Lake Wononscopomuc and Lake Wononopakook in the Litchfield hills. The serene setting is ripe with vistas of woodlands. All in all, creating an idyllic background for any couple who wishes to marry surrounded by nature. During the warmer months, Interlaken Inn offers their couples the option to host an al fresco wedding ceremony on their lawn. Overlooking the lake, guests’ chairs can be lined up to accommodate your outdoor vows. However, when the winter months bring forth a colder climate, the Lakeville CT wedding venue provides couples the flexibility to host their ceremony indoors.

Emma and Dave selected a December date for their Lakeville CT wedding venue. When the day arrived, the temperature proved to be especially mild. But, the day was also filled with rays of natural light, streaming through the clouds. The weather was nothing short of perfect. Emma and Dave were prepared to say I do as their guests, dressed in black tie attire, created an air of festivity around them. The time of year brought in a crisp cool breeze. Therefore, Emma and Dave opted to move their wedding ceremony indoors.

Lending to their holiday-themed vows, Emma and Dave decorated the space with spruce trees sourced from local tree farms. They used the towering spruce trees to accent a space around their wedding altar. In addition to the forest green trees, their wedding party surrounded them, dressed in all black and carrying white flowers. The color palette created an air of sophistication while tying together the holiday theme that Emma and Dave curated.

I initially connected with Emma through a previous couple whose wedding I captured. I was excited to hear about the connection we had in common and even more thrilled when she shared the details of her wedding day with me. Knowing what a stunning sanctuary her Lakeville CT wedding venue is, I was filled with anticipation for the arrival of their day.

From their getting ready moments in their respective spaces (the Basha Cottage for Emma, and the Countryside Cave for Dave) to their ceremony, portraits, reception, and each moment in between, I was beside Emma and Dave for every treasured moment at their Lakeville CT wedding venue. Their vision was flawlessly executed with their guests enjoying every moment of Emma and Dave, joining in marriage. The night concluded with a big, loving celebration full of cheers and merriment.
